McAMS pledge continued support throughout coronavirus pandemic

McAMS, the UK’s leading motorcycle accident management service, has pledged its unwavering support to the McAMS Yamaha British Superbike team in spite of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As the world joins together to fight COVID-19, organisers of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship postponed the start of the 2020 season, which was due to get underway over this Easter weekend at Silverstone, in line with government advice. As it stands, there will be no BSB racing until at least the end of May.

Despite the uncertainty and lack of race action, McAMS have pledged their full and continued support to the team for the duration of the crisis and beyond as they look forward to getting back on track as soon as it safe and responsible to do so.

McAMS has been in partnership with Raceways Motorcycles since the start of the 2017 season as title sponsor of the factory-supported Yamaha British Superbike team.

Forming part of Direct Accident Management, McAMS and the wider group have been helping people who have been involved in motorcycle, car and cycling accidents since the company was founded in 1996. During the crisis, they continue to provide invaluable support in keeping key workers, including delivery riders, on the road.

McAMS

During these strange times, we wanted to provide assurance that we will stand by the McAMS Yamaha team and continue to support them as we await the resumption of racing.

We would have all loved to be at Silverstone this Bank Holiday weekend, but right now that isn’t possible and the best thing for all of us to do is stay at home.

We are looking forward to seeing Tarran and Jason line-up on the grid with their McAMS Yamaha R1s when this is all over – it will be worth the wait and all the more special as we are missing it so much!

Steve Rodgers

Team Owner

None of us have experienced a crisis like this before, so it’s uncharted territory for the team.

The support McAMS have given us over the years has always been invaluable, and for them to pledge their continued backing both through and beyond the situation puts us in a strong position for when we next line-up on the grid.

At the minute the only thing we can do is be patient. The bikes are ready, the team is ready and Jason and Taz are both chomping at the bit to get back on track when safe to do so.
