McAMS Racing and Kent Eager for Navarra Testing
Following on from a fruitful two-day test at Donington Park, the McAMS Racing by Mar-Train Bennetts British Superbike team is keen to enjoy a further stint of pre-season testing at the Circuito De Navarra in Spain.
The second test of the year takes place just days ahead of the much-awaited opening round of the season, offering a last chance to prepare ahead of the first weekend of 2024.
Finishing in seventh overall at Donington Park, team spirit is high as all eyes look towards an action-packed week on Spanish soil. Both Danny and the team made some positive steps during the initial phase of testing and are excited to continue along that path as they move into this week.
Having joined the Yamaha-powered squad this year, one of the biggest focuses for Kent has been adjusting to the strengths of the R1 Superbike.
Kent made leaps forward with the bike during the Donington Park test and developed a growing sense of understanding of how to ride to its nature. With a further opportunity to venture out on track before Round One, optimism is high that more steps can be made in the right direction.

“I’m excited to get back to testing in Spain this week, the Circuito De Navarra is a nice track to ride and hopefully, we get treated to some slightly nicer weather! Putting the challenging conditions aside, Donington Park was a productive test for us. We’re going towards Spain with many positives, and with a good idea as to what we need to work on to better improve the setup ahead of Round One. I’m excited to spin some more laps on the Yamaha and spend more time with the team.”

“Although not on a Yamaha, Navarra is a track that Danny has ridden at before. It’ll be good for him to spend a few days getting up to speed. We made some good progress at the last test and finished in joint sixth overall. We’re going in the right direction and are starting to build confidence within the team, learning how our new members work and go about their business. The mood in the camp is buoyant, we’re all looking forward to another opportunity to test the bike, feeling excited, nervous and apprehensive, hoping to kick the year off on a positive note.”
